Arvvas

Arvvas are a duo where Sara Marielle Gaup and Steinar Raknes come together through joik and americana and creates new  and music rich in energy. Raknes is an orchestra in himself with his scratchy voice and innovative play on double-bass. Together with the traditional joik from Gaup, the duets music blends two adjoining rivers.

Their music is beautiful, clean and melodic as well as spontaneous and playful. The musicians complete each other through their contradictions. Like fire and ice creates balance and like hot and cold creates thunder and lightning.
