Burträsksvängen – A movie about a long-lived musical tradition (in swedish)

In the autumn of 2016 the decision to make a documentary about Burträsksvängen was made. During four days in july Voicemedia recorded much of the happenings at the folk music festival. 

The crew had never visited this kind of event, so the result was a one hour long story told from the wiev of those uninitiated. The festival itself consists by a group of people interested in folk music, where age, knowledge, sex and instrument do not matter much. The pure joy and spontanity that flows during sometimes wild bush plays and the lovely meetings between musicians are for sure the soul of the festival.
