A really nice musical slap in the face! 

Sallyswag i a colourful, scenic music commune. Flashing solos, heavy grooves and feministic messages forms the band which makes an unique act without counterpart in Sweden. The members have roots in dancehall, R&B, hiphop, pop, jazz, balkan, afro beat and swedish folk music.

It all started during the winter of 2013 when Erika Risinger, violinist and riksspelman, decided to start the band of her dreams. She found nine of the coolest and finest musicians and this resulted in Sallyswag. They met in Gothenburgh and began to compose. After several weeks of jamming and writing they came up with a fresh and unique repertoire which was ready to affect the audience on the premiere at Folk- och Världsmusikgalan/Umefolk in february 2014.
