Valkyrien has dropped the name "Allstars" but holds on to their peculiar soundstage on the new album. "Prøv å si noe til meg nå" is a compact work created by the band Valkyrien. The starting point can still be heard in the folk music they are known for, but now served with tradition together with a mix of acoustic pop and synth. You can dance even without having to know any certain steps and turns.
From the release of the blockbuster debute album in 2007 the band has continued to explore and challenge the use of traditional instruments and old norwegian music in an innovative way. They have been very active and during ten years of persistent playing at concerts they have evolved to a solid and playful live band which never gives two exactly similar concerts and are in constant change. What began as a pure trio on hardingfela has evolved into something that is quite hard to describe. You have to experience it!
